The killer inside me

I I started a new book called The Killer Inside Me. It's a really creepy book about this killer who has a sickness. In the book it is through his eyes. He is a police officer in a town in Texas and he is evil. Whenever something angers him he kills a person. This book is a little to creepy for me but I want to finish it. His name is Lou. In the book people who know him say. He's calm and a gentleman, but then he turns out to be a monster. At the part I am at, he has already killed three people. Two of which did nothin bad to him. He was ordered to make these two criminals get out of the town and he ended up killing them both. After this others find one and find out she is alive. This book is different because instead of it being told through a narrator or a person other than the killer, he is telling it. Since he tells the story, it is hard to follow because his reasons of killing people make no sense. He says that he has this sickness which forces him to do these things. Also, he finds out that his brother was murdered by a man that he works under, this really doesn't tie into the story but for some reason he mentions it a lot. I think it is trying to point out that he can't complain about this considering how big if a monster he is himself. This one part says that he is dealing with a man in jail who is high. The man tries to escape by pushing Lou but instead of using force and hurting the man, Lou just lets the man tired himself out. He says that he has to much pride to hurt someone that is high. This shows that he is not mentally stable because he kills innocent people all the time.

I am number four (2nd entry)

I have made progress in reading my book. I am at a part were he was settled in a small town in Ohio and is going to school. It goes through the whole new kid in high school scene and its normal. John is an outcast, he's bullied by a football player and he has a crush on the jocks ex. I read a part were when he gets angry lights glow out of his hands. He goes home and his guardian tells him that it is one of the powers he inherited through his planet. I think this book is pretty good, but it uses the same high school scene and his powers are not that impressive. It also does not explain why their culture is being hunted. It skips over important details and focuses more on his high school experience which is not very interesting. More of the action is to come because i have seen the movie. Even though I have seen it already, I can already see new details that have been left out of the movie. The main plot is interesting to me but they don't play in out very well. Everything goes by really fast. Usually, slow books are boring but i think they make more sense. He also stares at an astronomy nerd that i know has something to do with the plot. I also know that the father is going to want to leave and the John is going to rebel because he want to stay with the girl. The girl is also a photographer and Henri bans John from getting his picture because they can be tracked. John foolishly lets her take picture of him and he has it back in his mind that it will come back to hurt him.

I AM NUMBER FOUR

I am reading a book called "I am Number Four." It is about a teenage boy who is from outer space. His species is being hunted down by other aliens called Mogolians. Numbers show up as scares on their skin  when they are next to be killed. His species are wanted for their powers so they are killed and the powers that they possess are obtained. The teenager flees with his protecter to earth. The Mogolians are not far behind them. This young man must use his powers for good and for his species, but he does not want earthlings to think he is strange.

Hunger Games

I am reading the hunger games. Lots of people have reads this book and said good things about it so I have started it. The plot were I am is about a post apocalyptic world. The land is split up in districts and the book takes place in district 12. Along time ago there was a revolt in the district and every since they government has punished them by using the hunger games. The Hunger games is when children must compete against each other in a death match. The government forces people to celebrate this. Th last one standing wins a life of luxury. District twelve is scarcely low on food and people hunt to survive. Katness is the main character of the book. She hunts with her family. I am at the part in the book everyone is called to the town square. They pick names and the ones picked must compete in the hunger games. I like this book because there are not many like it. I like how no one wants to compete but if they win they could live a happy life for ever. I am trying to read the book before the movie do I can have a in depth understanding of the plot. It also helps because movies leave some parts out and I could peace things together with my knowledge of the book.

Vanished

I am reading a book called Vanished by Joseph Finder. It is about how a married couple get attacked and then 24 hours later the wife wakes up in the hospital. Then she is given the news that her husband has gone missing. Her brother ( Nick Heller) is a detective. He is called to the job to help find his sisters husband Roger. When I read the back cover I thought that the plot was very corny. The way they described Nick was like 1000 other books and movies and the fact that he is relatives with the victim makes a unrealistic drama effect to the whole story. On the brighter side, I picked out this book because I really like mystery and crime. I think it really makes the reader have to attentive to find all of the little clues and details hidden in the text. I also think that this genre brings a suspense from page to page. I am not finished with the book but I really like the flow of the events in it. I think that the story unravels without being rushed so it has time to sprinkle hints here and there. I also like that each sign of badness is linked all to the same large conspiracy.

Monster

In class, i was reading a book called Monster. This book was about a teen found guilty of robbery and murder. This boys name is Steve Harmon. I find this book interesting because it is written like a script. He is in trial and the lawyer from the other side calls him a "monster". This part of the book is important because when she said that, he is struck and feels awful. When he gets to the prison he asks to keep one thing; his notebook. With his notebook he writes about his experience in the prison. When night comes in the prison, he cries because no one can here you because of the sounds of others getting beat up. I did not get very far in the book but I could tell the kind of person Steve is. He made one mistake and regrets it deeply. This book also shows that even if a person who commits some if the worst crimes, they are still a human and they all have a soft side ( well maybe not the psychos ). Steve has always had a passion for writing ays and in prison he has much time to write. Although he can do what he loves, prison is still a he'll. If someone say him writing in a journal, he would get beat up a whole bunch. Steve is a kind of versus guy toward strangers so he tends to keep to himself in prison. Of course he does other things in prison but he usually does them alone. But still, I have. Ot got very far in the book so I am basing this off of what I have read. I look forward reading this book some more.

Blog on the out siders

We are currently reading a book called the outsiders. This book takes place in about the 1950s-1960s. It is about the life of gangsters. In the book, there are two different groups. There are the greasers and there are the socs. It is a classic rivalry of class. The book describes the greasers as more tough and hard life kids in rough neighborhoods that have to grow up fast and be tough, on the outside at least. The socs have easier lifes but still not too easy. They have there hard times but they also have good parents and a good education. The socs like to pick on the greasers when they are in a good situation. Mostly when the greasers are alone. The greasers are aware of this fact so they try to walk in packs. The person telling the story is pony boy. He is a greaser he has an older brother and a younger brother. His older brother is Darry. He is tough on the outside but he has feeling for his brothers. Their parents died so he has to look after them. Pony boy has another brother named soda. He is crazy and need work but he is like pony boys closet friend to his heart.
